You install it on your computer and then you can quickly capture screenshot images and take videos.
Capture Your Image
For images, if I see an image anywhere on my screen, I can instantly capture it in many different ways:
- Region
- Window
- Full screen
- Scrolling
- And more!
Edit / Save Your Image
And then I can choose to open my new asset in the Snagit Editor where I can add a bunch of things on top of the graphic like:
- Text
- Arrows
- Shapes
- Callouts
- Stamps
- And more!
And, I can even create my own brand templates so everything I add to captured images is in my own colours and fonts!
Or I can save the asset to my computer, or copy it so I can paste it where I need to, like in an email I’m sending.
Create Video Tutorials / Instructions
Sometimes it’s easier to communicate in a video and Snagit makes it so easy to produce quick videos where you can record your webcam and your screen and then share them.
This literally makes communication super quick and easy. Once you do this once, you’ll never want to write a long email trying to explain something again. Video messages and walk-throughs can be so much more helpful to send out and post!

Snagit has a free trial so you can try it out without risk, and they price it at a yearly subscription fee of ~$53. They improve their software every year, with a new yearly version, and I’m happy to pay for this product support.
